I wanted to leave a massive thank you to Jaspal and Kultar for their incredible help recently. It was a freezing day, and the situation was urgent because the tenants were struggling without heat or hot water—made even more critical as their grandfather lives with them. Despite being busy, Kultar managed to squeeze us in to ensure they weren't left in the cold. He handled the survey efficiently and clearly explained the situation. Got in contact with basi heating. As my old boiler wasn't safe to use. Within 5 working days they booked me in for a new boiler to be installed. The engineers arrived within the time frame given. How much does a new boiler cost in Yorkshire?
Our boiler installations start at £1,695 fully fitted. The final price depends on boiler size, location of the existing flue and pipework, and whether you're switching boiler type (e.g. system to combi). We quote a fixed price after a 20-minute home survey, what we quote is what you pay.
Is it worth replacing a 10-year-old boiler?
Often, yes. Most boilers are designed to last 10 to 15 years, and by year 10 efficiency has usually dropped, parts get harder to source and breakdowns become more frequent. If yours is needing repairs more than once a year, losing pressure, or your bills are creeping up, a new A-rated boiler typically pays for itself in running-cost savings. We'll quote both numbers — repair and replace — at the same survey so you can compare them before you spend anything.
What is the best month to replace a boiler?
Late spring and summer (roughly May to August) are the best time. Demand is lower, you're not without heating in the cold, and you avoid the winter rush when breakdowns spike. That said, we install all year round and can usually fit a replacement within days if your boiler has failed.
Which combi boiler should I avoid?
Rather than name brands to avoid, the safer rule is to choose a boiler from a manufacturer with a strong UK parts network and a long warranty, fitted by an accredited installer. We fit Worcester Bosch and Vaillant because they're the most reliable in over 35 years on Yorkshire boilers and both back a properly registered install with up to a 10-year guarantee. The bigger risk to reliability is a poor installation, not just the badge.
How long does it take to install a new boiler?
Most like-for-like swaps are done in a single day. A boiler-type change (e.g. converting from a system boiler to a combi) typically takes two days because we need to drain the old cylinder, re-route the hot water feed, and reinstate the airing cupboard.
Do you offer finance on new boilers?
Yes. We offer finance from £23/month subject to status, with 0% APR options on selected models. Apply online with a soft credit check that doesn't affect your score; the decision is usually instant.
What warranty do you provide?
Up to 10 years on Worcester Bosch Greenstar models and up to 10 years on Vaillant ecoTEC models, as long as the boiler is registered and serviced annually. We're accredited installers for both manufacturers, which is what unlocks the extended warranty.
Are your engineers Gas Safe registered?
